I really wanted to say thanks to those of you who downloaded the Cartolina app in the last few days - the response has been absolutely overwhelming. Thank you! So I have randomly picked 3 winners to get some fab Cartolina loot in the mail. We have winners - 2 lucky ladies have won our Cartolina giveaway! Thank you so much to everyone who entered. I always read all the fun comments and I really do appreciate every one of them.

The lucky gals are Words and Eggs and Fancylinda. We did the usual - blindfolded a complete stranger and forced him to pick, at random, the winner out of the giant salad bowl. I am definitely looking forward to sending off sets of new Cartolina products to both of you - so email me!

Another Great Big Cartolina Giveaway!

As is the tradition around here, we have new product so we are having a new product giveaway! The prizes are fabulous - the 2 winners shall receive a full set of all our new goodies - cards, notebooks and pocket mirrors -yay! I love sharing the excitement every few months. So all you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of the post - tell me who you'd most like to send one of our cards to. It could be your granny or it could be someone from history - anyone. Surprise Birthday Giveaway

Pretty Packaging | Mast Brothers

I have wanted to do a post on Mast Brothers Chocolate for months but I haven't been able to find any good images of the chocolate bars. I stumbled on these pictures yesterday and they are perfect(I'm rather picky about the images that I use here, as you may have noticed!) So now you can see the lovely paper that they use to wrap their chocolate bars in. I have never tasted their chocolate so I can't give you a review but they have a cute web site and look like quirky guys  - so they probably make good chocolate. 

Valuable Chocolate tip: We consider ourselves chocolate experts here at the Cartolina studios, in other words we eat a lot of it - and we are very picky(wow I've used that word twice in one post). Thanks to Lisa, who mails it to us, we are getting a good supply of my new favourite chocolate - from Cocoa Nymph(made in Vancouver) - 64% dark bar with sea salt and caramel - yummo! You can get it at the Vancouver Urban Fare stores - but don't buy it all  :-(

This just in - My Nottinghill Notebook Giveaway

In case you missed our last giveaway you can shoot over to My Nottinghill this morning where Michele is having a CARTOLINA NOTEBOOK GIVEAWAY for the rest of this week. Nine sweet little recycled notebooks up for grabs. My Nottinghill blog is a favourite amongst stylish designers and chic decorators - with loads of good taste and piles of creativity -  for example this fabulous vintage writing desk (above).

Thanks to everyone who entered our notebook giveaway. This has been one of our most successful giveaways with 93 people entering( I had decided that if we got over 100 entries then everyone would get a prize - but that didn't happen - maybe next time - just kidding!)

So on with the important stuff.  I printed out all the comments - cut them all out individually and tossed them in the big glass salad bowl. Then we used the old blind fold technique - scooped out 3 winners and threw in 2 runners up. Winners will receive a full set of notebooks and runners up will receive the 3 that they voted for.

Time for a Giveaway!

Well it's been a very exciting couple of days at Cartolina. Lots of great response to our new 100% recycled notebooks over at poppytalk and design*sponge. Thanks to Grace and Jan for starting the notebook rush! These little beauties are simple, pocket sized(4" by 6") books with blank pages and pretty covers. They sell as singles, with the bands around them, for $4 each or $12 for a mixed bundle of 3. We are releasing these at the New York International Gift Fair in 2 weeks from now. The notebooks are not going to be widely available until the end of the month so we thought it would be fun to end a great week by having a giveaway :-)

So all you have to do is check out the nine notebooks above and tell me your top 3 favourite designs - list them in order of preference. This will be a great way for us to anticipate the best sellers and plan our next printing schedule! Let's leave it open until Wednesday and then we'll pick a couple of random winners, and perhaps a couple of runners up depending how many entries we get. Top winners will get a full set of our little notebooks :-)
