Happy Weekend!
Have a great weekend - the sun has finally come out in BC and if we're lucky it might stick around for a few days. Maybe I'll do some gardening and relax for change - no work for me this weekend. And if you are in London and going to PULSE at Earl's Court this weekend don't forget to check out all our new Cartolina product at Booth E28(and say hi to Gavin and Ian!) See you Monday!

This incredible paper necklace is made by Blush Envy - who's work I am in total awe of this week!

These vintage paper crafts are amazing. I posted a couple of these kind of pieces before but I found the mother load on this Flickr set - they are totally fascinating and I'm sure very collectible.

Inspiration
Wonderful fabrics from The Fabric Farm. Anna Maria Horner can do no wrong in my books - I love everything she does! You can't help but be inspired by her talent.

Every so often I go to Farmhouse Wares to see what's new. Here's what caught my eye. Don't miss the individual cupcake stands - what a great idea!

This should get all you letterpressers hyper ventilating. A recycled billboard bag from Defy Bags. It looks so 3 dimensional doesn't it? Lots of designs to chose from(but this is the only letterpress one) - right here.

My friend Tanis from Good Girl Gifts often sends me great links - which I am taking full advantage of today. Yesterday she sent me a link to a store in Vancouver's Gas Town - Old Faithful. First of all I love the name and the logo and secondly if I could pick a location for a cool store in Vancouver it would be in Gas Town. So I haven't been to the store but I can tell from the pictures that I would love it - old brick walls, wood floors and really really really high ceilings - looks a lot like the space that we built the Dominion Cafe in. Here are some great shots, and next time you're in Vancouver you must go and take some more for me!

The Old Faithful Shop is located at 320 Cordova St W Vancouver, BC. In the coolest part of the city!

When I was at the Stationery Show I met a couple of wonderful new Canadian stationery designers Geraldo and Craig from Urubbu. Doug and I were really charmed by their clever designs on cards and prints. Their designs are inspired by nature but with a slightly mid-century edge that really sets them apart - they really remind me of art I've seen from Spain and south America - unlike anything else I've see in in stationery recently. Along with their cards and prints they also sell beautiful carved wooden birds that I absolutely LOVE. The merchandising possibilities with the art and the birds is very exciting - in fact their booth was charming - and so are they! I hope you take a few minutes to go to their site and admire their pretty wares!

This gorgeous paper necklace is made by hand by Blush Envy. She says, "This gorgeous, romantic paper ranunculus necklace is ultra feminine and romantic in soft teal or pool blue. The open flower has a charcoal center. I cut all the petals by hand, then shape them, attach them and paint in the highlights." Just lovely - and the colour is stunning!
