Happy Friday

I have a couple of things to add before the weekend starts!
Firstly we have a great deal for our wholesale buyers in the US - Free shipping on all w/s orders over $250 from now until the end of the month. That's a fab deal for you and your customers - so make sure to take advantage of that during the month of February. You can contact Lorrie for more information on that!

Also, this weekend we partake in our biggest trade show of the year - in the UK. Spring Fair takes place at the NEC in Birmingham and you wouldn't believe how big this show is. It's a great opportunity for brands to showcase all their latest products and designs to major buyers and media from all over the UK and around Europe. I've had a few of you ask me where we can be found in the massive NEC complex - so if you are going to the show we will be at Stand 3WO6 in Hall 3.

Get organized!

I'm in love with these wall mounted organization systems from Pottery Barn. They suit our rustic theme. What do you think? - Too country for you? They have such a great selection of wall mounted organizers at PB, there's something for everyone.

Yellow, grey and . . . . orange!

Last year everyone was all over yellow and grey - but how about you throw some orange into the mix? This is far more exciting! Quilt block project from Purl Bee - the endlessly inspiring blog from Purl Soho.

Snappy and fresh

I like this sort of hand painted. flower-jungle look that Anthropologie is launching this season. It's interesting and fresh.

Found - vintage name plates

Aren't these fun? You could be whoever you felt like each day - I'd like to be the secretary now and then! From Bluebell Bazaar.

Fossil - new for spring

I'm a big fan of Fossil bags in all shapes and sizes. I think practically all my bags are Fossil - they suit my casual style! I really love the quality of their leather and the construction. I just bought a great persimmon coloured satchel at Xmas from The Bay in Vancouver - which I love - but that doesn't stop me from checking out what's new for Spring!

Inspiration - stitching!

Oh these are so pretty! So unusual and so fun. Don't you love the colour choices and the layering? These beauties are from The Candy Thief!

Thank you! (and giveaway winners)

So I wanted to say thanks to everyone who participated in all our excitement last week. Almost 80 of you took the time to leave comments and let me know which of our potential art prints should be featured at our new Cartolina Etsy Store. You have no idea how helpful that was to me. There are clear winners in those prints - especially the ladies/skirts/legs series - which makes me happy because when you see those up close and in detail you are going to love them. I think I might actually make one of those skirt images into our next business card.

As promised, I made a quick draw to choose 2 winners out of the 77 entries and the 2 lucky ladies are Kelly Lautenbach and Nantucket Mermaid. You gals can pick out your fave 11 x 17 print from our store(as soon as I get it organized) and I will send it off to you as your prize. Thank you for entering and for leaving your feedback :-)

I also want to say thanks to all of your who downloaded the new Cartograms and the latest version of the Cartolina iPhone app. Grace at Design*Sponge gave us a wonderful write up on Friday which catapulted us up to the #5 position at the app store in our category over the weekend. We are extremely grateful to all of you and sincerely hope you enjoy using the app as much as we do. Thank you :-)

There's a new print available at Double Merrick that I quite fancy. I love the misregistered look - the crudely screen printed look. Often when I'm looking for ephemera it's this style of vintage printing that catches my eye - though this isn't vintage it's a modern giclée print. springtime swallow print from Double Merrick.

There are some wonderful vintage treasures at the Blue Carrot Shop this week - and there's a sale too - check it out . .
