Most of the beautiful things you see here at Cafe Cartolina are the works of talented artists and crafts people who put their heart and soul into their work. Even the vintage images you see here are treasures sourced by passionate collectors who are committed to restoring and preserving antique art for everyone to enjoy for years to come. Nothing at Cafe Cartolina is a free printable or a free download. You may not borrow, drag or right click any image for your art or craft because you will find that almost everything here is copyrighted material - this includes everything that falls under the Cartolina brand. Good morning - thought we'd check out some interiors today. I clipped this image a while ago - thought you might like it. The poster, the cream painted furniture, the shoes and the symmetry - very nice - don't you think?
Here at Cartolina, Christmas is almost over! Any of you involved in the wholesale stationery and gift industry are probably pretty exhausted right now - I know how you feel! We've been putting in 10 hr days for the last few weeks. So now that all the holiday cards are out at the retailers I am ready for the reveal - Ta Da! Here is our 2009 holiday collection. I based the designs on a couple of vintage Xmas tree light boxes that I had - with die cut windows on the lids(sort of a shadow-box effect.) It's hard to see in these pictures but all of this year's christmas cards are GLITTERED - and so is everything else in the studio now! There's glitter everywhere! The cards are available as single cards with sparkly gold envelopes and also as boxed sets - 8 in a box. The cards are 100% recycled with recycled envelopes and recycled kraft boxes. And, as always, our products are FSC certified too. We also have matching glittered gift tags that come in pretty packs of 8 and retail for $5.99. You can check for retailers near you on our retailer's page and if you'd like more specific info on where to buy them you can email me.
Just between you and me, this is my favourite in this year's collection - Geisha's in the snow.
This curious object is, in fact, a vintage, pin-back mirror. It looks like it is litho'd on tin. Very sweet. And I love the way this Etsy seller photographs her pieces with miniature furniture and interesting vintage props - very clever.
Fiona Richards | Cartolina Cards . . . . I have never considered myself a trend follower. The only things I follow are my instincts. Collecting and creating have taught me to trust the art that moves me and question the fads that don't. This blog reflects the diverse design influences behind my work and all the things I love.
