So if you would like to snag a double set of these just leave a comment below and we will make the draw on Monday next week(like a belated Xmas surprise!) I can't choose one favourite pet over others but I can say that my current cat, Josie, is so adorable - she's recently taken a liking to a cardboard box that I had been keeping in my spare room (saved for shipping presents), so much so that the other day I found her sitting in it, purring like crazy! (And she's not normally an often-purring kitty, so that shows how much she really likes it :) I can't bear to take it away from her now so I guess I'll just hang on to it until she doesn't like it anymore.
Happy Holidays!!!

As I have 3 cats right now, I don't want to upset them by choosing one over the other... but I do have very fond memories of KC, my kitty from way back when. I had him when I was young and he was very cuddly to snuggle with.

Well, I think I would face dire consequences if I picked just one, so I will tell you about BOTH of my wonderful black labs, Maggie and Thatcher. Maggie is 8 and Thatcher is 4 and they are both my baby girls! I just love them tons and tons!!!!

We live with 3 cats, a dog, and the memory of another cat and dog so of course they are all my favorites. But probably the most special one to me was my dog Sailor. I rescued him from the street where he had been living over a year since he was 6 months old. Prior to that he lived chained to a post outside. He was so terrified of people that it took me over 6 months of sitting near him outside everyday just to get him to trust me. Eventually he did and I was able to bring him inside. With a lot of love, he quickly became the sweetest pet ever. So smart and gentle. He would give high-fives, play dead if you said 'bang bang', and even had some doggie karate moves. (I'm not kidding) He was with me non-stop for 12 years until he passed away a year and a half ago.

Our once-feral cat Rocky was traveling with a family of raccoons when we first saw him. We put out food and water for the raccoons in the winter and little Rocky had adopted them as his family. It took us several months(and frigid cold weather) to get him in the house and another month before he would leave the throw rug by the back door. He's been our buddy for 4 years now and still spends several hours a day outside but sleeps at the end of the bed every night! (Apologies to all the other animals I've shared my life with; I loved them all.)

Oh these stories are just great!
Maybe I'll think of my favourite Mimi story to add to the list.
Thanks for entering - this is going to be fun!

I love these cards! They remind me of the Beatrix Potter books I used to read when I was little. Crossing my fingers!

When I was growing up we had a beagle, named Peter. Charles Shulz knew wherw of he spoke when he made Snoopy a beagle - they are different from other dogs. Peter didn't like to be left alone. If he was left more than two hours, he would lift his leg on the fridge and only the fridge. If he was left for more that four hours we would come home to find hime sitting on the kitchen table singing and given that beagles are hunting dogs there really is no other way to describe the sound he made except as signing. I love the cards, especially the bear in the lovely suit.

My favorite pet is my kitty, Raleigh. I got her when she was barely 3 weeks old. She was bound for the pound. So I got her, and brought her home. She has been by my side ever since. Now she's 3 years old, and perfectly pudgy :)

Beautiful cards, thanks so much for a chance to win them :)

Oh, wow! Do you guys sell your work as prints? I LOVE these! I love all your work, (gush) but really, how special would these be as art in a childrens room? I love the colours, everything. Have you ever seen "Ol' Mistah Buzzard" and the books in that set, a fox, I can barely remember. But this reminds me of them. I think they were my mothers maybe.

Anyhow, my favorite pet story involves our little jack russel, Chip being brought home. We had a military macaw who was a total terror. She was huge and green and evil. She would walk across the floor and our rotweiler would move out of the way for her. When chip came home he was just itty bitty and we tried to keep him away from her but her curiosity eventually won out and when she finally got close to him, the strangest thing happened. She started to regurgitate food like he was a chick. For his entire puppyhood she preened him, protected him, wrestled with him and played tug of war with him. The sad part was that as he got bigger she couldn't keep up with him and eventually he started playing with the other dogs and she went back to being a bird. Very sweet memeories though!

Merry Yulexchriswinter!

Did you say "quicky" or "querky"? My cat, Eddie, for no apparent reason, went into my closet and ate the edges of the cuffs of my shirts! Naughty Eddie - no gifts under the tree for you - just a couple new shirts for me! I don't know if that is my favorite pet story but certainly is memorable. Beautiful cards! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Merry Christmas from a reader in T.O. and thanks for this giveaway! The holidays bring memories of one our best pets ever...our springer spaniel Holly. She was far too big to be a lap dog, but it was always her favourite spot to sit...firmly snuggled on our laps with legs all splayed, snoring away! Christmas morning meant lots of fun unwrapping a new box of Milkbones...dog heaven!

Merry Christmas, these cards are gorgeous!
My favourite pet was a fat Australian red Kelpie sheepdog named Rhubarb, who loved nothing more than freshly shelled peas, cut up apples and plenty of affection (and dog food!) He wasn't so keen on the working component of being a sheep dog, and usually took off in the other direction when the sheep needed to be rounded up.

Those cards are just lovely!

My favorite pet is my little Lola Margarita. She's a white long-haired chihuahua who won't leave my side. (she's keeping my lap warm at this very moment). I never really considered myself much of a dog person - more of the cat type - until we got her. She's the most devoted ball of fluff - she's totally won my heart over!
