Good morning my friends! I couldn't wait to show you these papier maché platters from Flour & Fauna this morning. I love the gorgeous vintage engravings combined with rustic finish. These would look really fabulous hung in a group on the wall - and for a very reasonable price too. Here are my favourites - there are lots to choose from so head over to Flour & Fauna . . . and enjoy . . .

I'm partial to the 2nd one and that lovely octopus!
I have to say I am a John Derian fan....everyone like to copy him! :)http://www.johnderian.com/index_decoupage_new.html
Thanks for your comments!
Découpage has been around for a very long time as an art and craft and there are many artists who focus on découpage. John Derian has been able to take his wares global but there are many people who make a living decoupaging all sorts of objects - it's definitely not copying him - he just happened to have taken a traditional craft and had the resources to get global recognition. He did not invent this process or this style - and he would probably be the first to admit that.

Oh I know it's been around for a long time. There is a woman here on Nantucket, Leslie Lindsey, who has her shop full of it. I've even tried it with my own designs. I am partial to John because he is an old friend and my Son works for him.Ha! Maybe I'm a little over protective...no offense! :):)
