I thought this was very cute when I saw it at Sublime Stitchin. Great, vintage 1930's Sewing Secrets cover from Dominus Vobiscum's Flickr stream. I love that anyone would take the time to do a corded buttonhole! And note the instructions for a 'slide fastener' - not a zip!

Love the poster! I'll have to send this post to my seamstress friend....I believe she did a bunch of corded buttonholes for a wedding dress recently....they looked fantastic... and a fantastic amount of work! :)
