Ooh how pretty,I would love to win!

Fun thing I got back to this summer was Antique shopping! I've been so busy I forgot how much I love finding new (old) treasures. Definitely going to put aside more time to indulge. Jane T.

It's winter here in Melbourne, Australia. But if I cast my mind back to last Summer, the most fun thing I remember doing was laying on the cool, green grass in our back yard with my son, looking up at the clouds and guessing what shape/thing each cloud was. Great way to spend an hour or two on a Summer afternoon. Lee :)

Phew! I've done so much this summer...but i've got to say that the funnest times were spent at the dinner table with my family...husband relaxed enough to be really silly with my sons, and often had them in stitches!

The most fun I had this summer was going to the salt flats for the Bonneville Speedweek. It's always so inspiring to me, to see all of the unique cars and motorcycles giving it their all to set a new landspeed record.

Hiking around The Matterhorn with my husband in Zermatt, Switzerland. I was in pain after hiking for two days, but it was time well spent with my husband and we were able to take some amazing pictures.

My husband and I bought our first ever car this summer (as we live in London we've never needed one before but we're moving away next month). We've been able to go to all sorts of places that would have been too awkward/expensive by public transport, lke a day out in Cambridge and a vintage car show, and we've had so much fun, the two of us and our bright green car!

This is the first summer we have been able to visit the midwest (where I am from) in four years and it was a joy to be able to share with my three young children the magic of the green lushness of summer there, and the way the fire flies appear at dusk, moments like sitting around a campfire with lake superior in the distance. The far off sounds of coyotes at night near our small cabin and the quiet stillness all around.

I climbed up to an operating volcano in Italy, and I saw the volcano spitting magam - it was so amazing, I felt like being in a National Geography film.
The volcano is called Stromboli, it is on an island close to Sicily - in fact the volcano itself is the island :-)

I had a very nice time at the Jersey Shore this summer. Other than that, we spent a lot of time at home keeping the kids busy day by day. It was nice enough having everyone around the house, really.

Your new collection is lovely-

The most fun for me was going back to Cape Cod after a nearly 25 year absence, and getting to introduce my kids to it as well.

Hmm, probably my favorite part of summer (so far! it hasn't ended yet) are the pleasant afternoons spent doing something outside--yesterday, I went to the community pool, discussed Indian food with friends, got take out Indian food because we all got hungry talking about the food, went to the park, ate the food outside, listened to the drum circle playing in the park, went back to a friend's house and sat on their front porch drinking a cold beer. It is a day like that that I will really miss.

The most fun thing I did this summer was move into a new "old" house! It was built in 1925 and looks like a beach cottage and I had a great time turning it into my own and giving it some southwest, hispanic type flair : )
I love the elephant cards too!! Reminds me of India~

On Saturday I went to the Okra festival in a rural county in Alabama, US. It was great--blues music, okra every which way you wanted to eat it, and lots of art :) After studying for the bar all summer, the bar for what the most fun thing I've done was pretty low, but even so, this was a great outing.

Just this past week I discovered an amazing antique/resale/salvage shop in my neighborhood that I have been living in for 3 years, it takes up half a block winding into different 'vacant' houses and back yards all owned by the shop owner. It was full of amazing things that I thought I would never find in this midwestern town! I had a great chat with the woman who is very knowledgeable about all the shops goodies and the stories behind them, its like buying things that have a great old soul to them! I've been back twice since, its so inspirational!

and of course I am blessed to have a lake cottage in my family all the time spent there with my loved ones is the best summer treat!

The most fun that I had was taking many Summer Weekend Trips with my husband and our Shih Tzu, Tia. He hits the historic sites - and I visit the antique/collectible shops. And Tia is just happy to be included in our trips.

The most fun 8na dcrazy!)that I did this summer was to climb up on top of a roof, early one saturday morning early in june. We were a bunch of girls (five) carrying rugsacks filled with breakfast. We had breakfast on the roof, I was just a little scared, but very happy to look at the city waking up and happy to sit there looking at our city, with my friends next to me.

The most fun this summer was taking a road trip with my 5 yr. old granddaughter. We visited Vancouver. We went to the PNE. We stayed at the lovely Sylvia Hotel on English Bay. We visited the cup cake shop and walked the sea wall. We are now planning next years road trip.

I am a teacher and I am never mad at summertime. I have a lot of time on my hands and very little money to spare. So...the most fun I have is treasure hunting at local garage sales. I am obsessed with finding small pieces of wood furniture that I can paint and/or reupholster and bring it new life in my home. The problem now is that I don't need any more pieces, but I keep finding new ones that I love. Today, in my garage, sits a cool piano bench with a $1 price tag still on it waiting for me to be inspired.

My most fun thing I did this summer was visiting my sister and family and my parents in Oklahoma and baking a birthday cake and decorating it with hand made fondant with the help of my 3 year old son and niece and 6 year old niece...messy for sure but definetely fun!

biked across Tokyo with my husband on our holiday a few weeks ago. We went from Shinjuku to Nipporri through all these funky little neighborhoods. We ended up not shopping at all because everything was closed for Oban. It started to rain as we were getting ready to leave and had a really refreshing bike ride in the rain to Akihabara a few miles away!

The most fun thing I did this summer was take a road trip, from Ottawa, Ontario, to Kingsport, Tennessee, via Cincinnati, Ohio.

We made sure to look up the most random things and to check them out.

Some of the things we saw were, the birthplace of JELL-O, the birthplace of kazoos, a Flintstones style house, the largest rubber stamp, a five story knife store, and the Christmas story house.

We were also able to fit in visiting my brother-in-law in Cincinnati, and last minute decided to visit and old high school friend in Kingsport, Tennessee.

My husband and I had a great time just laughing and talking the whole trip.

Here is a link to pictures from the trip:

My summer vacation! 5 friends and I rented a house down the shore and relaxed. Spent our days at the beach, ate bbq on the patio, watched the sun set, played mini-golf & card games. We ended each night by walking up to the beach and watching and listening to the ocean. It was magnificent.

Thanks for the chance to win some of your awesome cards!!

Spending time in Barcelona with my husband was the best thing I did this summer. Gawking over Gaudi and taking in all the splendor of the city.

I love all your cards! I would love to win a set.

Katherine said...

Oooohhh, I've had my eye on these cards for awhile now.

My favorite thing for this summer has to be buying our first house with my husband. It's been so fun discussing the future and setting up housekeeping, shopping for antique furniture and comparing paint samples. I love "growing up" with him!

Two of my friends, and my mom (I stole her from my best friend) came into town. We were going on this boat tour, and despite public transportation problems, having to take a cab, and having the wrong address we made it to the boat in the absolute nick of time. While we lounged on the lower deck snacking on cookies and drinking lemonade we learned about the different styles and details about the various skyscrapers about the lake and river. It was both relaxing and educational. Fun!

i feel like my summer never started. i put my house on the market, sold it, moved, finished in incomplete for a grad class, cleaned out twenty years of art supplies from my new class room and started a new job. whew! funnest thing...spending time with good friends and my family.

The images on the cards are pretty cool. I esp. like the owl one :D

My summer wasn't as eventful or filled as I had wanted. But one of the best things I did this summer was volunteer at a children's camp for terminally ill kids (and possibly their siblings) in upstate NY. They were the most memorable two weeks of my life. I learned so much, and the experience finally got me to do something I had wanted to do for two years. Hope to go back up there again next year.

of course i'm going to enter to win your amazing products!

the most fun thing i did this summer? hmmm. we didn't really do anything all that fun since we've been so busy remodeling the house all summer. one thing i've enjoyed immensely has been taking "me" time every friday morning to go thrifting by myself. no kids, no hubby, just me time. then, of course, bringing everything home and making it new again!

PaperTurtle said...

Most fun thing this summer? Going to the beach with my hubby! It had been over three years since we'd taken a trip like that and we had SO much fun!

Love your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration! :o)

Thanks for all the comments - they are just great! I love reading them. I asked this question on our very first giveaway last year and so I knew there would be lots of fabulous stories. The favourite part of my summer this year was taking an entire week away from work after a very busy month and truly relaxing with our friends on Vancouver Island. Sounds like quite a few of you enjoyed BC this year!
Thanks everyone -I love all your stories!

Where have I been, under a rock? I just discovered your blog today, as well as your lovely products. Instant fan!
No one specific moment, but after a very dreary, rainy start to the summer in Maine, I have thoroughly enjoyed being with my boys outside. On the beach, splashing in the water; in town, taking evening walks; just relishing the beautiful weather and time together. Summer is always gone too soon...
