Help me source this necklace - please :-)
We just passed our 400th post on this blog - holy heck! So I figure there must be more than just a few of you reading this everyday(and I appreciate all of you and love your comments too BTW) So I thought perhaps you could help me out with something. . . .
I have this necklace that I bought in New York last summer. I really love it and I wear it more than any other piece of jewelry that I have. It looks great with a simple t-shirt or a pretty little blouse. The only trouble is that it's not silver - it's some kind of base metal that leaves marks on my clothes. So I would really like to buy a necklace exactly like this in Sterling silver for my birthday which is coming up in about 3 weeks. I know it looks very simple but it's the size of the loops that I love - the largest ones are just over an inch and a half long. I am hoping that one of you will know perhaps an Etsy seller that makes similar pieces and I can buy it online. Can't wait to hear from you with your ideas - thanks!

Here is something *sort of* along the same lines - she's a woman from Kelowna that I've met a few times. I'm sure she'd be happy to work with you to customize it:

Wow, how coincidental. I was just perusing Etsy earlier this evening and ran into this shop: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=fp_feat_2&listing_id=20967251. Not exactly the same but has a similar "hoopiness..."

Try Good on Charles Street, Boston. Try 4510 on McKinney Ave, Dallas. Try Takashimaya (spelling?) New York. I have seen similar things in each store. Oh, maybe Koo di Kir, off Charles Street, Boston.
Good luck.

Your necklace reminds me of the kind that Constantina James creates- her website simplysublimedotca. She is the Vancouver artist that was asked to do some creations for the Academy Awards.Good luck.

WELL!
This is a great start - thank you all so much!
Suzanne - a local jeweler might be a great idea.
Jen - those hoops are VERY close - i will contact her too.
Anna - I saw that story on the news the other night but I didn't get a good look at her product - will check her out today - though she may be out of my price range now that she is Oscar worthy!

Thanks!

Hi,

I Met you last year through Tracy at the Airstream. I am a silversmith in Nelson and would be happy to talk to you about doing a commission for this linked necklace. If you are curios about my work, you can see it in town at Touchstones and Global underground. Or you can visit my Etsy site - www.cleverfawn.etsy.com

Best,

Here are a few ideas: There's something similar here: www.evesaddiction.com -- search for 30 Inch Sterling Silver Circle Link Chain Necklace ($82); I use these 2 online shops: www.clay-pot.com and www.fragments.com. I didn't see any matches, but there are always other occasion...! Finally, you might like the Adina signature circle necklace -- just google that. They're beautiful in their simplicity. She makes them in 3 different size circles, and you can double them up or even triple. I wear the medium and large size gold signature circle necklaces together -- practically every day. Worth the investment if you really love it!

ask a student at KSA. When I went there one of our first year projects was to create a piece making jump rings. I made a similar piece as to your necklace myself. But now I am an electrician...... so I wouldn't be able to create one for you.
Let me know how it works out!

I know someone who would be able to make this for you, and affordably. She is the manager at my mom's bead store, where they also do metalsmithing and soldering. She's really great and has the exact style of this necklace, with the really organic forms. Here's her Etsy if you would like to contact her: sprout1world.etsy.com
