Illustration | Shepard Fairey

These two posters are from Shepard Fairey. Beautiful and interesting - I love both their boldness and their subtlety (with their collage effect). Shepard also produced the poster, Make Art Not War, that I have sitting in the sidebar on the left (thanks for that info Jan). There's a great interview with Shepard here if you would like to know more about him and his beautiful illustrations.

They aren't posters. They're what's known as HPMs-- hand-printed multiples-- on wood. If you like Shepard Fairey, you owe it to yourself to visit thegiant.org, particularly the fine art gallery located at http://thegiant.org/wiki/index.php/Category:Fine_Art

I really like how it effects the viewers perspective. When I first looked at I thought wow that's really beautiful and it made me want to read more about it. Very powerful and meaningful art. Thank you for sharing.
