I find these celluloid or shell buckles all the time in junk stores. I always buy them because they're so pretty and I use them with scarves. I spotted this tutorial on how to make them into little frames at Martha Stewart. I'm not sure I'll do this but I love the image of the buckles and I'll definitely continue to collect them.

Martha, Martha...how did she think of that? I also find them all the time and buy them. I might try this...they'd be cute hanging on the tree!

The frames look very nice... but I defnetively love more the vintage buckle look!! I'd wear them!!!
