Inspiration
When we were in New York we had the pleasure of dining with Shawn Byles and her husband at a lovely little restaurant on the Upper East Side called Bell Blu. I met Shawn a couple of years ago right here at the Cafe. We hadn't met before so it was a proper blind date for the 4 of us. We all got along famously - Doug and Jeff talked bikes and fishing and Shawn and I talked about design. Shawn is a surface designer with a passion for the detailed, the exotic and the decorative arts. I found the following vintage Indian labels on Shawn's blog, Jamaica Byles, and in the next post I'm going to show you some of Shawn's work.
I think you all ready know how much I love anything vintage indian or south Asian - I can't get enough of these labels.
