It's another CARTOLINA GIVEAWAY!

We're having another giveaway!

We got a call from Domino Magazine and they are going to be featuring 6 of our holiday card designs in their December/January issue. We are so excited that we thought it would be a good time to have a Cartolina Holiday Giveaway. I know it's not Xmas yet but let's just pretend anyway! We have a wonderful box of holiday stationery sitting here waiting for a winner. All I want you to do is to tell me what your favourite magazine is these days, and why. Hopefully we will end up with a great big list of magazines to explore. And this time next week a winner will be selected using the same complicated, scientific method as we used the last time. How fun!

oh goodie! my fav magazine has to be InStyle. I love all the specials they have where they take you into the beautiful homes of celebrities and show you all the design details.

I subscribe to a number of magazines but I would have to say my favourite is Canadian Home & Country. I'm in love with the layout, the fonts, the little sidebars, the photography and the feature articles on artists, designers and collectors. I'm always inspired to try new things in my own space after reading this magazine. Also, I don't feel as guilty about hanging onto my various odd collections after seeing what others have in their homes.

These days it's been Oprah's O magazine. I have never picked up an issue before this July and what they had to say, I wanted to read- mainly about improving the quality of one's life- and how to maintain a healthy perspective. Touches home for me just now. Second to that, I do enjoy Domino.

My favourite magazine these days are Sköna Hem (swedish interior design magazine), with the danish BoligLiv a close second.

I like Sköna Hem beacuse their taste in interiors is close to my own, and they often feature scandinavian designers. I like supporting "local" artist. :)

Ok, this is going to totally sound like brown-nosing right now, but I'm really enjoying domino mag right now. Seriously!
(oh, and I hope mimi got the cash I slipped under her kibble bowl) ;-)

I almost forgot - CONGRATULATIONS on the super cool press!

For my indie, diy fix I love Readymade magazine. But my guilty pleasure is a Japanese teen/fashion mag called Cutie. I don't understand a word that it is saying but I love all the style shots.

My favorite magazine? That's hard! I'll have to say (in no particular order) Domino, Rachel Ray, How Magazine, Marie Claire, and Eye (it's a design magazine from the U.K. and sometimes hard to come by. When I find one, I snatch it and it lives on my shelves indefinitely). Though, if I have to decide on a current favorite, it would be Rachel Ray. It's a good mix of cooking/recipes, lifestyle products, entertaining, decor, etc.

ANd congrats on the Domino feature! Woohoo!

I subscribe to a ton of magazines and really look forward to getting all of them ~ for different reasons. If I have to narrow it down I have to choose Marie Claire Idees ~ it's French so I can't ready any of it, but it is packed with photos and projects so you can get by even if you don't read French. I do wish it came more than 6 times a year!

BTW, I have just discovered your blog ~ it is now a daily stop ~ I love it ~ thanks!!!

Good morning! Thanks for entering the giveaway!
Well it looks like we are creating a fabulous list of magazines!
I have to say I have never looked at an issue of Rachel Ray, but now I definitely will Cathe, thanks.
Marie Claire Idees sounds like one I will love. And Canadian Home and Country is definitely one of my faves too.
Looks like Domino is also a favourite - that's a good thing!

Congratulations!! This month I picked up a copy of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. I had heard of it but never even flipped through one until now. Also can't wait for the holiday issues of Martha Stewart and Southern Living :)

Congratulations!! That's terrific news. My favorite is Canadian House and Home w/House Beautiful as my second. I'm looking forward to seeing the first issue with Suzanne Dima. I did like her Ask the Designer feature years ago. (you don't have to include me in the giveaway as I'm already a huge fan of your cards.)

Oh I love magazines and wish I had more time and moola to spend on them! Probably my most recent fav has been ReadyMade. For the graphic designer in me, probably CYMK or Print

Country Living and Country Home....which is interesting because I've never considered myself a "country" girl! My tastes have always been pretty eclectic, so perhaps this is just my latest "slight" shift of interest...though I have to say, "country eclectic" is a label that's working for me AND my home decor for almost a year now. Thanks for hosting such a terrific giveaway!

I really like my Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. A lot. The ads are almost as good as the articles :) I also really like Wondertime--it's a parenting mag, but its really designed well.

Your holiday cards are gorgeous!

Lately, I've been really into Selvedge. It's such a sophisticated, contemporary resource for info on everything involving textiles. And their photos are amazing!!

I read all the local Alabama mags (Thicket, Lipstick, Skirt, Portico) but my favorite national mag is More (for us 40+ women). Thanks for the great giveaway and congrats on your spread in Domino. Your cards are beautiful!

I have always loved Martha Stewart Mag, it's stayed on the top of my fav list since I first subscribed to it. I also get a kick out of the Australian publication Frankie. It's fun.

Congrats on the press! Your cards are beautiful.

My favorite right now is HOW, but in the spring and summer I love Garden Design. Every once in a while I'll pick up Real Simple.

Craft is my current favorite mag. I just love seeing all of the creativity.

Congrats Fiona.
I like Threads magazine. Great sewing ideas, lovely fabrics and interesting craft projects too. Also, Style at Home. I love looking at the before and after room designs.

i do like domino once it became the "replacement" for bluelines. i love home companion. the artist features and interiors are wonderful. i open it many times which is more than i can say for most of the magazines i get.

House Beautiful is a favourite. It's a little more "grown-up" than Domino, which I also like.

Real Simple is a big favorite for me. Love the design, love the clean functionality of the ideas and looks they include. But I have to say, I also love a recently resurrected old favorite (it went out of publication and has now returned) Victoria Magazine. While I may not be able to ultimately afford the lifestyle it espouses, I know that if I search enough garage sales and websites, I too can recreate those aesthetically pleasing days of opulent bird cages, perfectly printed floral tea towels, and charming tea cups. It's a little frou-frou, but deep down I'm a girly girl...so what can I say?! Congrats on Domino!

Real Simple is my favourite too. I like the articles and the mix of things they cover. I mostly have the subscription for the recipes though, I've gotten a lot of favourite meals from it.

Real Simple
Runners World
ReadyMade

All really good and helpful. Great recipies and creative ideas.

I have always loved Mother Earth News magazie. It gives us such great tips on how to live more frugally, simply and "green".

I also subscribe to Family Fun :)
