Most of the beautiful things you see here at Cafe Cartolina are the works of talented artists and crafts people who put their heart and soul into their work. Even the vintage images you see here are treasures sourced by passionate collectors who are committed to restoring and preserving antique art for everyone to enjoy for years to come. Nothing at Cafe Cartolina is a free printable or a free download. You may not borrow, drag or right click any image for your art or craft because you will find that almost everything here is copyrighted material - this includes everything that falls under the Cartolina brand. You are welcome to reblog but please credit the original source. Thank you!
No, we are not turning into a quilting blog - though I think Doug's mum would like that :-) Some quilters have an amazing sense of colour. I was so impressed with these 'improvisational' quilts from Sherri Lynn Wood. The colors seem to have faded a little when I uploaded them to blogger(sorry about that) but you can see more of Sherri's fab work on her website - beautiful quilts!
I have a couple of things to add before the weekend starts!
Firstly we have a great deal for our wholesale buyers in the US - Free shipping on all w/s orders over $250 from now until the end of the month. That's a fab deal for you and your customers - so make sure to take advantage of that during the month of February. You can contact Lorrie for more information on that!
Also, this weekend we partake in our biggest trade show of the year - in the UK. Spring Fair takes place at the NEC in Birmingham and you wouldn't believe how big this show is. It's a great opportunity for brands to showcase all their latest products and designs to major buyers and media from all over the UK and around Europe. I've had a few of you ask me where we can be found in the massive NEC complex - so if you are going to the show we will be at Stand 3WO6 in Hall 3.
I'm in love with these wall mounted organization systems from Pottery Barn. They suit our rustic theme. What do you think? - Too country for you? They have such a great selection of wall mounted organizers at PB, there's something for everyone.
Last year everyone was all over yellow and grey - but how about you throw some orange into the mix? This is far more exciting! Quilt block project from Purl Bee - the endlessly inspiring blog from Purl Soho.
I'm a big fan of Fossil bags in all shapes and sizes. I think practically all my bags are Fossil - they suit my casual style! I really love the quality of their leather and the construction. I just bought a great persimmon coloured satchel at Xmas from The Bay in Vancouver - which I love - but that doesn't stop me from checking out what's new for Spring!
Fiona Richards | Cartolina Cards . . . . I have never considered myself a trend follower. The only things I follow are my instincts. Collecting and creating have taught me to trust the art that moves me and question the fads that don't. This blog reflects the diverse design influences behind my work and all the things I love.
