Happy Friday!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm going to be away in Vancouver for a few days. I should be back here on Tuesday next week. If you have a chance, take a look at all the pretty things at McMaster and Storm this weekend - they always brings a smile to my face and I think you'll like them too. See you next week!

Found - Sandra Eterovic

Aren't these wonderful? How unique and clever! Hand painted 'wooden clock hands' from Sandra Eterovic. Check out her store and while you're there take a look at the fabulous mirrors - pig tails anyone?

Found - vintage cluster earring bracelets

I absolutely love these. Vintage cluster earring bracelets from Fancy Linda. They are so pretty and I love that they are authentic vintage pieces collected by one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of meeting since I started blogging. Do you follow Linda's blog or buy great vintage stuff from her Ebay or Etsy stores? She has such a great eye for vintage details. And right now she has a fabulous giveaway that I'm hoping to win - wonderful vintage holiday treasures - including a super cute little christmas deer that I'm coveting.

Found - Folk Quilt Poster

This caught my eye yesterday - a folk quilt poster from Spread the Love.

DIY - willow wreath with pom poms

I rather like this willow wreath with tiny pink pom poms on it - from Martha Stewart.

Inspiration - more vintage Penguin

Doug took these pictures at our local used book shop last week - I can't get enough of these Penguin covers. I think I see a new one every week!

Cozy up!

Don't you love the evenings at this time of the year when it's dark and snowy out and the fire is on casting a lovely warm glow around the room? I get quite obsessed with lighting and lamps at this time of the year because we spend so much time trying to make the house seem cozy and warm. These drum shades from House of Chintz are just the ticket. I love their collaged feel and their rich colours. They would definitely add some cozy to our place this winter!

Found - advent calendar

Love this! A weathered wood advent calendar from Graham and Green. It's perfect!

Found - birch flowers

I had seen these flowers a few times on various different sites but it wasn't until I had a good, up close look that I realized that they are made of birch wood shavings! I thought they were paper! Quite lovely and so clever! From Yanni Creations.

Winter colours!

We went on a wonderfully snowy hike yesterday near Kaslo. The river trail takes you along the wild and crazy Kaslo River up to the covered bridge. At this time of the year, after our first real snowfall, the photo ops are endless. Doug took loads of pictures and I picked out just a few. Can you believe the colour of the water? And the raspberry colooured bridge looks so pretty against the snow - I came home very inspired! The saturation of the colours is almost overwhelming when everything else is white

Doug said - go stand under that tree and I'll take a picture of you :-)

Mixed tape

I don't know much about this tape - I found it on The Best of Pinterest (right below our Cartolina iPhone app, which was very exciting - thanks to everyone who has pinned and repinned it !) Anyway this is fabulous tape - so much great tape going around this year - I'm sure I'll have loads more to show you soon.

Yummy design

I really like hand painted glasses but it wasn't until I spied this drink recipe at Bless Her Heart (via foodgawker.com) that I realized the best usage of these gorgeous objet d'arts - creamy, delicious holiday drinks! This recipe is for Spiced, White Russians - yum! Don't these glasses look so pretty?
