Happy Friday
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. It's been a very busy week here at Cartolina - probably the busiest week of the year for us - getting lots of big holiday orders out the door. So fortunately for us it's Canadian Thanksgiving weekend here so I will take a little break and be back here on Tuesday. Thanks for visiting and see you then!

Photography
Love these pretty pictures from Cassia's Flickr photostream

Shopping
How cute are these pictures? I came across these yesterday on the website of a store that I would absolutely love to visit - Bella Vita(who have the cutest wordmark ever!) They are located in Oakland CA. If you live there, go, and tell me how cute it is!

Treasures
I feature jewelry here now and then - though I haven't been wearing much jewelry in the last couple of years since I cut my hair short - but I am growing it again so I figure that's a good excuse to buy some new earrings - I am definitely going to buy some from Sweet Vintage. I love her combinations of tarnished metals and bright coloured stones and beads - I like these earrings especially - and I absolutely have to have this bumble bee bracelet . . . . .

Inspiration
Pretty tin things from this web site - I wish I could read their language - is it swedish or Danish perhaps? I love vintage tin wares.

Seen
I've seen, and collected, a lot of ephemera in the last few years but I haven't run across this lovely piece before. Such a lovely composition and pretty hand lettering. I found it here.

Found
I can't really tell you much about these pretty and unique necklaces(perhaps you can tell me more) There is an Etsy shop where you can buy them. And there is a stunningly pretty blog where I originally found them and thoroughly enjoyed browsing through pages and pages of ultra chic photography by the same artist.

Found
I found a few more of those 1957 Country Fair Magazine covers that you seemed to like so much a couple of weeks ago. The first one is an old Ebay listing that I think Doug would have bid on if I had found it sooner - it started at £1 and no one bid on it so they removed it!

Vintage
This is fun - a vintage charm bracelet from New Orleans. I love the tiny river boat and the shield shaped thing(I wonder what would have been in there?) From Covet and Crave.

The talented gal at Covet and Crave also sells her fab wares at her other etsy shop Talula - I simply adore her necklaces and it takes everything I have not to keep posting them here - but I have resisted today.

Found(not earrings)
Here's a shop to watch - Neat Curios. I think they have some really interesting and quality pieces including these majolica plates(I bet you thought they were earrings didn't you?) and the Chinese lacquer box. (You know all those fabulous, random plate-scapes that you see on stylish walls these days? Well wouldn't these plates look marvelous combined with other unique pieces - real show stoppers!)

Fabulousness
So, for all you fans of old, distressed, vintage, rusty and peeling - bring out the oxygen and prepare to hyperventilate at these fabby examples of patina perfection . . . breathe in, breathe out . . .

Images from here Verhext and from here Fint

Inspiration
How about some storage inspiration this morning? All of these images have been circulating on Tumblr and I think they are fabulous - I can't even tell you which one is my favourite - I love them all. Definitely some great storage ideas.

Inspiration
Here are a few vintage items to jumpstart your design inspiration today. Both of these are from Sweet Love Vintage.

Mingle
Calling all locals - if you haven't been to a Mingle Cocktail Lounge evening before I am encouraging you to go this week, Thursday night at Louie's. Lissa Knox from Maison and myself are the special guests this week - how fun(I guess that means I have to be on my best behaviour!) Mingle is a great way for women in business to network and socialize, I really enjoy it - see you there!

Found
I love this rug - we seriously need a new rug in front of the fire in our living room and I really want a large, busy, colourful rug to bring some richness into the space. I think something like this would work - maybe in slightly darker colours? What do you think?

Love the pillows too - don't you? From Anthro.
Found
I found these super ceramics by Ken Eardley on Huma Qureshi's list of 10 best buys for the home under £70 on the Guardian's website. Huma has a lovely blog at Her Little Place - she has very good taste and I think you will enjoy her picks.
